I personally feel that sports shoes are a good idea as we students have to climb about staircases everyday and do PE. I am not very sure why it is not allowed, but it might be concerning the impression that outsiders would have on Clementeens. However, you have a point there, regarding this issue. I ENSURE you that i will bring this up to the teachers and hopefully come to conclusion which will satisfy both parties. Please continue to give your suggestions as they are really good and please do visit this site again for replies. Thank you.

Student Suggestion By Ong Kang Qim
This comment I'm going to make is not pertaining to the above post, but just a new suggestion.
If I’m not mistaken, the school only allows shoes that’s at least 85% white. Personally, my suggestion would be shoes that are at least 50% white, in particular sport shoes. For example, the sport shoes that I’d like to wear is 50% white and 50% blue. I can’t comprehend the reason for the school implementing the idea that students should only be allowed to wear shoes that are >85% white. I believe that wearing shoes that are at approximately 50% white should be quite acceptable, regardless of the school’s reasons for restricting the colour of shoes that students wear to school. Firstly, it saves cost for students who already have shoes at home that fulfill the above criteria. Secondly, it greatly benefits students during their PE lessons. To date, students are only allowed to wear sport shoes on certain occasions such as the annual sports carnival and NAPFA test. I believe that with this implementation of being able to wear sport shoes of a certain criteria (>50% white) to school, they do not have to face the trouble of bringing their sport shoes in a separate shoe bag just for their NAPFA test. However, the main reason that students should be allowed to wear sport shoes during PE is that it’s after all the appropriate footwear to be worn during PE lessons or any sports. By wearing the proper footwear, unwanted injuries can be reduced to the minimum and comfort and ease can be brought to the students while they engage in PE lessons. I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this can consider my suggestions seriously. I’m definite that it’d be a win-win situation because not only does the school put themselves in the students’ shoes, the students would thus feel a sense of anticipation daily when they come to school due to the flexibility the school has granted them in allowing sport shoes to be worn to school. I believe that wearing sport shoes does not necessarily portray to the public that CTSS students aren’t disciplined students, as what I suggest is just 50% of another colour, preferably that of sport shoes in addition to white. I look forward to a further implementation on this issue of sport shoes, at least the allowance for students to wear sport shoes during PE lessons, to provide a favourable environment for students to engage in fun-filled and safe physical sports. CTSS Carnival Reflections 2009
18 April 2009, Saturday, the long awaited once every 2years CTSS Carnival has finally arrived!!! We were extremely excited and find it hard to resist our excitement due to the fact that the school experienced a wonderful occasion 2 years back and we want to feel it again! The new and accessible facilities in the new school compound provide an ideal place for the carnival. Therefore, I am sure majority of us; Clemeteens feel that we have greater flexibility in choosing the right place for our booths for successful, profitable and smooth run of businesses.
First and foremost, the school’s aim for this year’s carnival is to earn a total of $88,888 for it’s funds. This year’s carnival is slightly different from the previous as the school goes by the “class-buddy” system. This system required class from the upper level sec to team up with class from lower level sec, unlike 2 years back which involved individual classes doing their own planning. The aim is not only to guide the juniors (since it’s their 1st year doing it), but also to increase the bonding spirit of Clementeens by helping one another.
On the wee hours in the morning, before the commence of the Speech Day Parade, the school’s situation was already hectic, with students from various duties busy preparing, running to places and setting up of booths etc.
The Carnival was opened for business from 10 to 4:30. I was exhilarated as there are so many places to visit for food and games! The school has certainly try making good use of it’s compounds.
The food stalls were mostly set up in the canteen, with food such as students-made drinks, colourful candy floss, fried noodles (and many more) sold at rather expensive cost, but still worth the pay for the school’s benefit. (=
Look around! What do you see Clementeens? Visitors are enjoying the food we prepared!
Most games were located in the ISH, those games are indeed innovative. Well done Clementeens!
Songs dedication for friends and loved ones anyone? Or perhaps you prefer the hair spray?

Long queues outside the 2 Haunted-classrooms in school!! Eerieeeeee… {{O.O}}
Athough the school has only achieved $65, 000+ ( instead of the goal $88, 888). I believe we should be proud of how much effort and hard work we’ve put into the Carnival and the bonds we’ve earned when working with our classmates. Besides, do you realize how much we’ve also contributed to the community? The school has sponsorors from various food companies such as McDonald’s and Botak Jones, this also helps to promote their restaurants. The Carnival also has many families spending their Saturday family day is CTSS with us! How wonderful! Through this occasion, I believe Clementeens have learnt a lot beyond the usual text-books. We’ve certainly gained more confidence to lead and develop the humility to serve!!
